Very rare funeral blanket of the order of the knights of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem.

A unique object of great charm, impossible to find, completely different from all the usual funeral shrouds that we usually see starting from the color, the workmanship and the symbols present.

The shroud in fact, unlike the most common ones, is in white silk completely worked with gold thread, as it was certainly made and used for some high-ranking knight.

The chivalric order was established in 1099 by Godfrey of Bouillon, with the specific purpose of defending the symbols of Christianity in the Holy Land as well as the pilgrims who flocked there. The most well-known and important symbol is the cross.

A strengthened cross made up of 5 crosses, one larger and four smaller ones on the sides. In number, they remind the knight of the five wounds of Our Lord Jesus.
