These two aren't decorations.They're faces that watched people laugh more than 120 years ago.Late 19th century, early 20th century. Papier-mâché.

Probably from a French circus or amusement park.They've experienced lights, dust, music, children, noise... night after night.And all of this is still there.Each piece measures approximately 55 x 50 cm (21.7" x 19.7").They're not small.

They really look at you.True theatrical props, created to amaze.And after more than a century, they still do.

Recently featured on the popular Italian TV show Cash or Trash.
