A striking pair of decorative anatomical skulls made in the 1950s/1960s from patinated plastic-resin, mounted on elegant turned bases of black lacquered wood.


The two specimens faithfully reproduce the structure of classic laboratory anatomical models: the skullcap is removable to reveal the interior of the skull, while the jaw is articulated and movable. The metal details, hinges, and assembly elements give them an authentic vintage charm, typical of educational tools of the era.


While not medical models intended for professional use, they make splendid furnishing accessories with a strong visual impact, ideal for decorating cabinets of curiosities, professional studios, bookcases, cabinets of curiosities, photo shoots, Memento Mori collections, or spaces with a Gothic and industrial feel.
