An impressive holy water basket in embossed and chased silver-plated copper, complete with a contemporary sprinkler.

The body features an elegant ribbed structure in late 19th-century style, with a wavy edge and movable lateral handles. Particularly charming are the frontal applications in the shape of a skull with a feathered collar, an iconographic element with a strong memento mori character that gives the whole an extremely dramatic and unusual presence.

The object retains a deep antique patina, with oxidation and traces of use consistent with its era and liturgical function.
