Rare popular wooden sculpture representing a Penitent of the brotherhood of the good death.

These were men and women of all social classes who helped the poor, visited the sick and participated in funerals.

This very rare representation of probable Spanish origin, was made of patinated wood, the medallion with the skull should be in terracotta and the chain is a real metal chain.

The wood is probably oak, in fact the sculpture is powerful and heavy.
