Very rare example of an original Memento Mori processional staff terminal with souls of purgatory.

An object made entirely of silver consisting of a skull with crossed bones and two depictions of souls wrapped in the flames of purgatory. Dated 1821, there are punches and an important inscription that identifies its origin. The engraved inscription says S. Maria Verteceli 1821, which is the name of a church in Naples dedicated to deceased souls built between the 17th and 18th centuries.On the outside and inside of it you can still see sculptures and signs to recall the cult of the deceased.
