Product Details

A striking wooden sculpture depicting an ecclesiastical figure, distinguished by a unique face split between human features and a skeletal visage.

The side that retains its flesh displays the features of an elderly man, while the other reveals the underlying skull, complete with an empty eye socket and exposed teeth. It is an image deeply rooted in the *Memento Mori* tradition, vividly and theatrically illustrating the fragility of life and the inevitability of death.

The figure wears ecclesiastical robes and is carved as a single piece with its base. The carving style—deliberately bold and enhanced by a beautiful antique patina—effectively heightens the contrast between the living and skeletal aspects.

An intriguing collector's item, perfect for a *Wunderkammer* or a collection dedicated to themes of death and *Memento Mori*.
