Exceptional example of Wunderkammer taxidermy of composition between the head of a puffer fish and a scorpion fish.

The head of the puffer fish is closed by a large and important lens that allows you to see a redfish inside that seems to be suspended in space.

Both fish have glass eyes.

The composition is suspended from a wooden and metal support which makes the fish rotate and tilt.

Italy, late 19th century.
