Forged iron chest of probable French origin from the 17th-18th century.

Rather rare model with some small repairs and defects present.

As you can see, the second bolt on the right does not slide perfectly because the seat is slightly damaged. Overall, however, by applying more pressure on the lid, the chest still closes.
