Magnificent medieval style flail weapon, probably from the 19th century early twentieth century.

It was an exceptional sidearm made up of a spiked ball connected to a stick by a chain. Typically the spiked ball was completely made of iron.Here we have a rather rare example as the ball is made of wood, and all the embedded points are made of wrought iron.

Dimensions, total length approximately 70 cm (27,5") diameter of the ball including the tips approximately 13 cm (5,1").Origin Italy / Germany
