Rare example of Memento Mori grave plaque in marble in the shape of an hourglass with 4 skulls and bones carved in the 4 corners.

This plaque was inserted in a very important tombstone probably belonging to a count or in any case of a noble person. In general, tombstones rich in detail and made in one piece were already tombstones for people of an upper class.

Those instead made in several parts and then assembled were the most luxurious and important tombstones. Here we have an object therefore of absolute rarity. Dimensions 26 x 13.5 cm, depth 6 cm.
