Exceptional sculpture in polychrome plaster representing a military rescue scene from the First World War.

A subject truly full of emotions, a real representation of a soldier lying on a stretcher being treated by a military doctor and a red cross nurse.

On the front there is one of the most famous Roman quotes: "ET FACERE ET PATI FORTIA ROMANUM EST" which means "It is Roman to perform heroic deeds and endure great trials".

There is a writing that we were unable to decipher imprinted in the sculpture on the side of the base, perhaps the artist's signature.

Probably this work of art, because that is what it is, was created for some association, certainly for an important destination.
