An article for lovers of the exceptional genre.

A polychrome alabaster sculpture representing Dante's death.

The artist wanted to represent the poet's death, not only with a stripped Dante, but also with a clue in Latin that he wanted to impress on the base below and which says: QUO IBO NOVI, which means "I know where I will go".In fact, Dante in the Divine Comedy will be told that after his death he will go to Purgatory in the first circle of the proud, as had happened to his grandfather.

The base of the sculpture is also a work of considerable prestige made of wood with important and precious stone and marble inserts.
