Polychrome wooden travelling altar with crown of thorns.

An interesting and curious article of popular religious art with total devotion to Jesus' crown of thorns. In fact, in this small altar we have a real crown of thorns in the central part, hidden by a decorative shutter panel, in this inner niche. In the centre is a piece of cloth and lace with the IHS symbolism.

On the outer sides are small paintings showing the various signs and symbols of Christ's passion. Under the niche is a small drawer.

Dimensions of the altar closed, height 52 cm, width 23 cm, depth 12 cm. Height with open panel approx. 73 cm. Outer diameter of crown of thorns approx. 20 cm.
